Still celebrating Easter

The first week of Easter I got out some fun supplies to make water colored Easter eggs. The fun is still going on. We just finished another Patricia Polacco book-Rechenka's Eggs. We find her books to be entertaining and sometimes just HILARIOUS! This one has icons and Orthodox themes through out.
Our art project was this:
A tray set up with all the needed supplies.

First draw an oval onto water color paper using the metal insets. Then using beeswax crayons create a design within the oval.

Lastly use one color of watercolors to create a wash over all your crayon markings. Finally cut out your egg! We are very pleased with the children's finished products. Can you see which one was made by a two year old?
