As I dive more into a Charlotte Mason approach for my older children, we sped out on a Vermeer glimpse. We had read Chasing Vermeer with a book group over the summer and found it to be a great carrot to pull us in.
We've spent time pouring over the pictures (and Mommy studying how the art work was recovered!) that live all over the world.
We found the Vermeer Interviews by Bob Raczka to be helpful to understanding what the artist might have been doing.
Now we will spend some time trying to describe the paintings from memory after looking at them for a few minutes. Also reading info about the painter's life is to come...
