School motto revealed:

So today we had our official first day of this school year.  It was tinged with sadness at some tradgedies in our life.   Our Pop Pop was hospitalized last night with a TIA.  We've also been carrying the death of a playmates older sister close to our hearts.  And finally we have a friend in the hospital with an infection.  The children are so affected by the adult world!  It was difficult for them (and me) to focus on school.
But we know that God is greater than this!  We are thanking God for our health.

So  what did the first day look like?
Lectio Divina of Mass readings with study of St John Chyrsostom.
Orthodontist appointment to fix a wire that was loose.
Reading of Story of the World volume 2 in the car.
Chiropractic visit for a boy that needs spine help.
X-ray at promt-care.
Visit with old neighbor.
Prayers for Pop Pop in the hospital.
Unfortunately too much driving.
Visit of new friend who just moved here to talk about Montessori method.
Listening to latin in the car.
Adventure Club as follow up to reading A Single Shard.
Listening to Suzuki music in the car.
Picking up Daddy at work.
A quick dinner at home, together.
Beautiful Girlhood book group gathering at our house.

Thank You, God for getting us through this day. I suspect we will gear up to the regular style of school days.  Whew.  I'm ready for bed.
