This is not the first time I have tried to consider this concept of the Good Shepherd deeply and it won't be the last.
That's the beauty of the teaching of the Jews and of Jesus through parables. They are full of layers of meaning. And not just one meaning.
And when you've grown in your relationship with Christ, you find more to learn from the parable then the last time you meditated on it.
The Good Shepherd from the Old Testament in Psalm 23 and the Good Shepherd proclamation by Jesus in John 10 contain so much.
Who IS this Good Shepherd that calls us to a deeper conversion of heart during Lent in this Year of Faith?
