Our Jesse "tree" (pine branches from out doors) with the basket of books. You can see the apple and ark ornaments have been hung so far. My favorite book is "Prepare O Bethlehem" by Niko Chocheli.
Side note: I was appalled last night to watch a PBS documentary on the town where Niko was born-Tbilisi, Georgia-and how they have trouble supplying the town with electricity. Seems that the Russians have bought out the power company and electricity is now worse then before. What little things I can just be grateful for such as electricity!
Today being the FEAST OF ST. ANDREW and the patron saint of our homeschool, we've begun the prayer of St. Andrew until Christmas. Also we've switched to Latin for our meal prayers. And we are keeping some Bible references to look up each day for our Jesse Tree.
Our Advent Wreath with an icon of St. Nicholas as we prepare for the 6th of December. This is the day the children receive gifts in honor of St. Nick.
