Day trips for Birthdays

We slipped away to a midwestern city for a birthday girl.
We rode the train.

We walked the city.

And made it to the Art Institute.

Boys wanted to see the armor.

Mom suggested we see the Caravaggio's as a review to our school work.

The touch area is always a big hit with the kids.

Lil guy got to ride the whole day.

Chagall windows were a hit.

The "family" area in the new modern wing was a nice rest.

Seeing yourself in the "bean" aka Cloud Gate is a fun family affair.

and to top it all off with deep dish Pizza.

Now that's a full birth-DAY.
