So here's a new idea. A fun way to give during Lent.
Give a birthday bag to a local food pantry.
Poor people have birthdays too, don't they? But perhaps it's harder to celebrate.
What we put in the birthday bag we made.
Table cloth, streamers, plates, cups, napkins, candles, cake mix, frosting with sprinkles, balloons and a $10 gift card to Target.
Our 4H club gave over 20 bags to local food banks and our county made over 200. Isn't that great? Wouldn't you love to be the recipient of a birthday bag if you were needing to visit food pantries just to keep your family afloat?
The girls and I had such a fun time putting this together. Makes us want to have another pink birthday in this family.
