Reflecting on Advent past and Advent present

Celebrating Advent is normal around here. It's part of our living. This year with a husband who just finished a Masters level course on the Liturgical Year and the beginning of using the new translation of the Mass, I'm looking forward and back.

In years past, we've done the Jesse Tree.

We've joined our Byzantine brothers and sisters in Christ with a more penitential Advent.

I like to make the Smells of Christmas part of what the kids find in the school room.

We Celebrate St. Nicholas Day on December 6.

You will find us celebrating St. Lucia day and making it a yearly adventure.

Lastly, as we prepare it's important to find silence in the midst of all the preparations.
