So our house work continues. All 21 windows with their 42 shutters needed updating!
It took husband, father and father-in-law several days to accomplish this. We are so grateful that we didn't have to do it alone!
And now they are all black. We also took out all the overgrown shrubs across the front as well as a tree that hiding the front door. There are tiny blueberry bushes trying to live across the front now.
I'm not so fond of the brick, but haven't quite figured out how to balance the heaviness of the brick fireplaces with the original section of the house. A porch someday, maybe?
The kids were handed brushes and paint and asked to update our mailbox as well. It's a cheery welcome now at the end of the lane.
